Sin Lien Hotel

The room was really big and very clean. I’d recommend it!

It’s a quiet spot, about 10 minutes from the centre of Kluang town. Restaurants, grocery shops and a food court are nearby, and there’s outdoor parking right in front of the hotel. Without your own car, a Grab ride costs around RM6.

The room amenities were decent, but the front desk service made this an awful stay. My sister booked one night so we could rest before an early checkout for sightseeing. Instead, calls from the front desk came every 30 minutes through the night and ruined our sleep. We’re a family travelling with elderly members, and being harassed like this was unacceptable. There were four of us at check-in, and the Malay lady assisting us didn’t say there would be an extra charge for the fourth person. She only said an extra person meant booking another room for RM 170++, which we declined since it was already 10 PM and we planned to leave early the next day. She said visitors could stay until 12 PM. But once we got to the room, the front desk kept calling to insist the fourth person leave, even after midnight, at 1 AM and 2 AM. This felt completely unprofessional and untrained. Is it really such a problem for a family to share one room? I expect management to explain how this happened. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it for families. The service deserves a 0.

The rooms are clean, tidy and fairly spacious, and there’s a car park right in front. This is one of the newest hotels in town, in the middle of Kluang Bahru town. There are several restaurants around the corner, including Tan's sister restaurant and Asam fish. There’s also a restaurant inside the hotel.
