The location is good, and the staff, especially Fifi, were so helpful. We were still on our motobike when he came out to the roadside, greeted us with “ada booking ke”, and helped us park. The hotel manager was so unprofessional. I don't know why management keeps him. If he's good at hotel operations, give him an office in the storeroom. Don't let him interact with customers because he sucks.

The room was clean, the water pressure was excellent, and service was prompt. Towels were a good size too. My wife and I found this lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Kota Bharu’s old town, newly refurbished and offering service that felt truly five-star. Pasar Siti Khadijah, Masjid Muhammadiyah, museums, Tambatan Diraja, and plenty of good local food are all within walking distance. There's a cozy café, Nasken, in the lobby, with good nasi lemak and coffee. A heartfelt thank you to the Manager and Fifi for the wonderful hospitality. We'll definitely come back.

The room was okay, but the breakfast arrangement was not as described. They said it included an English breakfast with eggs, tomatoes, bread, beans, and mushrooms, but that wasn't true. The cafeteria didn't open until 9:30, and we waited over an hour for two eggs and two sausages. We didn't leave until almost 11. I raised it at reception, but all they offered was a “sorry”.

From the window you can see Masjid Muhammadiah. Breakfast was nasi lemak with nesnten grind coffee, and right in front of the hotel is the popular Nasi Ulam Cikgu. It's affordable for a budget trip, but book online to get a lower price.
