For a budget hotel, I thought this was good value. It's centrally located for walking around town or using rideshare, with lots of nearby places to eat and a grocery store within walking distance. A staff member is stationed at the entrance at night for building security. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly, especially the young woman working days, and their English was good. Check-in and checkout were easy, though they required a 100 MYR deposit. My room was definitely small, but comfortable, with an opening window. Cleaning was available by request. The large bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size, with a separate shower, hot water, and good pressure. There was a lift, enough outlets, good nighttime lighting in the room and bathroom, plus a kettle and refrigerator. The AC worked fairly well, though it took a while to cool the room when I got back at the end of the day. WiFi coverage was patchy; moving to another part of the room sometimes helped, but wasn't always convenient. Now and then there were odd smells in the room or hallway, like someone on the floor might have been smoking in their room. Outside noise could be bothersome at times, but it was mostly quiet during sleeping hours. I generally couldn't hear other rooms, just people talking loudly in the hallway at night, something you get pretty much everywhere with indoor access.
