The room was clean, and the price was cheap. Service was okay, with welcoming, nice staff. The location isn't ideal if you're trying to get into town, and there's not much you can walk to, though there are some restaurants and a convenience store nearby. The room also felt a little dark and old.

In Damai, there's loads of food around, plus 24-hour convenience stores and banks. For RM93.00, the Queen Standard Room was cheaper than most hotels I've stayed in, which makes this a really underrated 2 star hotel. The downsides for me were the RM100/room check-in deposit, which felt expensive, and the toilet being so cramped that plus-size people might have trouble getting into the washroom.

I ended up switching to the room with a queen sized bed. It was larger, and even without windows it felt a lot less cramped than the single bed room. That first room felt suffocating to me after one night, though I know the lack of a window is just my own pet peeve. If you're staying alone and feel the same way, I'd suggest booking the queen-sized bed room instead. The location was convenient for walking to the 7 eleven or burger king for a bite, and my stay was pleasant overall, so I'd recommend it to people who are okay with a window-less room. I booked the single bed room at the last minute because of an emergency, and the price was reasonable. Coffee, bottled water, tissue, and towels were provided, and the bed and pillows were soft and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady in charge of cleaning the rooms. The WiFi was strong the first night but got really weak after a few hours of use. My room's keycard failed at least three times, so staff had to keep resetting it. The walls are thin: I could hear the lady in the next room from the corridor, but once I was in my room most of the sound was tuned out.

There's no restaurant here, so you'll need to eat out, but there are plenty of cheap places to get food. There's also a large chemist across the busy main road. If you're after an inexpensive hotel, this one was fine for me and had everything I needed.

The pillows were the one thing I didn't like, they were pretty flat or hard. Otherwise, things were good. The air conditioning was powerful even on the top floor, and the bathroom amenities were cleaned daily if you didn't leave the door hanger out. They provided fresh linen and towels, plus filtered bottled water, a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and coffee as requested or daily.
