I've spent about two and a half weeks here across two separate stays, and it's easily the best hostel/homestay in Sabah for me. If you're travelling long term, this is the place. It fills up, and if you stay around, it starts to feel like family. Even for a night or two in KK on a budget, I wouldn't look further. It's right in the centre, but I wasn't woken by motorbikes or anything like that. The beds are comfortable, the AC is strong, wifi is great, and there's a huge breakfast that carries into lunch. There's room to exercise, hot water for showers, coffee and drinking water all day, plus kitchen space to cook. The owner and staff know the city inside out, and they care about the people staying there. Thanks, and see you next time, Auntie π

The team are wonderful, and the breakfast is varied every day. The rooms are really comfortable with great air conditioning. This feels like more than a hostel, it's a family where you'll feel at home. You'll love it! π§π·

For a quick transit in KK, this is a good place with a friendly atmosphere. It's backpacker lodging, so judge it as that rather than as a hotel. The lady owner is especially friendly and accommodating. I rented a motorcycle from them π

It's pretty cheap, and for the price it's not too bad. You can use the kitchen, though the place feels cramped and the bunk beds are tiny. Staff sometimes smoke at reception. The common area in front of the main entrance reeks of smoke and cat pee, a really unpleasant mix of smells.
