Hii-5 Hotel

I stayed a few nights in May 2024 for work. The location worked well, near restaurants and shop lots, and it was easy to get a Grab or Maxim. The hotel was okay for sleeping, though a bit old, and the AC was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful. You have to ask reception for a hair dryer and iron.

Affordable little budget hotel, and pretty close to the city center. You get what you pay for.

The aircon and TV worked, and RM70 for a single room or RM90 for a double seems fair for a budget hotel. It's centrally located but somewhat old, with a faint smoky smell, and cleanliness could be better. There were also some slightly shady-looking people hanging around the lobby.

The hotel is well placed, within walking distance of everything, but it can get noisy at night and early morning. The WiFi isn't working properly at this time, which was a big problem for us because we needed it for work. Our first room was clean enough, a decent size, and a little run-down, but there was no WiFi at all on the third floor and nobody was coming to fix it, so we asked to move. The first-floor room we tried was small, dirty, and smelled of smoke. We ended up in room 203, the one they advertise on the second floor. It was better, and the WiFi worked, but it was super slow and cut out about 30% of the time. I'm really unhappy about the internet problems and not sure I'd stay again if they don't sort them out.
