Check-in was easy, and they let us in half an hour early, which was nice. The rooms are reasonably priced, though a bit cramped. The air conditioning worked great, but the shower sprayed in two directions and leaked a little, and there were ants along the walls. The place is getting old and could probably use a restoration soon. The same might be true of this whole area in KK. For cheap rooms, though, I can't complain too much.

If you just need somewhere to sleep in Kota Kinabalu, this is a decent choice for the price. It was clean and the beds were comfortable, though nothing was especially good. The Wi-Fi was only acceptable in the hotel lobby. The bathroom was a particular plus.

For budget travelers, it's good value and centrally located. There's a 24-hour restaurant downstairs, though it's separate from the hotel. Small ants find any food left in the room very quickly. Daily cleaning isn't standard, but they did clean when I asked.

The staff were friendly, which was the only good thing about the hotel. My room was noisy at night and I couldn't sleep at all. It was listed as a window room, but there was nothing to see outside the window. The toilet was very dirty, there was no hose, and the TV didn't work. I booked two nights but had to cancel the second because of the room's poor condition.

We often stay here to keep costs down. It's a good place to spend the night, though there's not much to see around it. The air conditioning in our room needs maintenance because we couldn't control it properly.
