The location is great, but we decided against returning at the end of our trip because of the noise and room layout. We are a family of four with two children under 12. The beds were nice, two doubles and two singles, but our room was the smallest of the five and there was nowhere to put a suitcase, especially a large one. Room sizes vary. It would help to have a drying rack for clothes after an island boat trip, and the charging plug wasn't next to the bed. It was very noisy whichever room you got. We had first planned to stay both at the beginning and end of the trip, then cancelled the second booking.

For a tight budget, I'd stay again. If I felt like something fancy, hello Hilton! We stayed one night on a Saturday in early August 2025. The six-bed room was budget friendly and fine for sleeping, though luggage space was limited. Ours had a balcony, which was a nice extra, but maybe not every room does. You're right by a 7-Eleven and restaurant, and a 500m walk from the wet market, seafood spots and souvenir shops. Pasar Malam Gaya is 20 meters away on Friday and Saturday nights, and Pasar Tamu uses the same spot on Sunday. A few things to know: contact the owner before you arrive, as there's no reception counter. Check-in is by code at the entrance, and without one you can't get in. Parking is very limited. Our rental car was blocked on checkout day because of Pasar Tamu. We parked right in front of the hotel, which probably wasn't a good idea. Honestly, don't rent a car in KK, use Grab or walk. KK parking needs an app now and traffic jams are everywhere. There are stairs only, though my parents, who are over 65, managed them. The pasar malam noise might bother light sleepers. I was too tired to care and slept fine, but the karaoke singers weren't always great 😅

A good place to stay while travelling, but the soundproofing needs work. My room faced the roundabout and was very noisy. Please consider providing a kettle and swapping tool.

The response was extremely late. I called so many times and got no answer, then had to stand in front of the entrance for ages with nobody opening the door for us.
