Stay-In Lodge

This was a terrible stay at a backpackers lodge. There was no water supply, and the shared bathroom was a nightmare, with an extremely dirty toilet. The hygiene in the rest of the hotel was terrible too: the bedsheet was awful, the room had spider webs everywhere, and there wasn't a towel, mirror, or even a bin. My room's air conditioner wasn't working properly. When I asked to change rooms, the receptionist insisted it was fine. She came in, pressed a few buttons on the remote, said it worked normally, then ran off. The receptionist at check-in had also been unfriendly and didn't respond to my questions or requests. I paid an extra RM10 for air conditioning, so I asked for that money back when it wouldn't work properly. The receptionist ignored me and acted as if she hadn't heard. Please don't stay at this backpacker inn.

The neighborhood is nice, which is the main point in its favor. This is an OK place to crash, but there's not much here in the way of amenities, and even basics like the showers sometimes don't work. You're getting about what you pay for, which isn't much.

The price is reasonable, but the place isn't maintained well. If a comfortable night's sleep matters to you, I'd look elsewhere.

A basic, acceptable option for a modest traveller. The location is good, but don't expect much.
