Polaris Suite

The facilities and location were wonderful, and most things were good in the two-bedroom suite. But at midnight, people clearing the trash bins disturbed us, and one bedroom had a foul smell at that time. I understand it’s a difficult situation to fix.

The room and location were okay, but the details were poorly handled. The internet didn’t work at all, and noise outside the door kept me awake even at 3am. Maybe someone was cleaning another room then. Check-in and checkout are at Hotel Sixty3, which is really inconvenient when leaving. They arranged a taxi to the airport, but the driver charged us RM45 more than what we’d paid on arrival, four times the earlier fare. The driver blamed the hotel, though it seemed like they knew each other.

I’ve stayed here twice, and the location is super duper good. The Friday night market and the Saturday and Sunday morning markets are only 1-2 minutes away. The big market and fish market take 10-15 minutes to reach. The downside is the noise. It goes on all night, so it’s hard to sleep well.

The rooms are clean, right in the center, with lots of local shops selling local food and products nearby. But you have to go all the way to Hotel Sixty3 to check in before you can access the suite, and return there again to check out.
