Space Cap Hotel

The morning was noisy, with two drunk guests disturbing my sleep, and no staff stepped in. I was relieved I'd booked only one night, because staying longer would have been unbearable. The bed and pillow sheets were filthy, the mattress was so thin I could feel the wooden base, and the whole place felt unclean. They also make you take off your slippers, so my socks got dirty on the unhygienic floors. One of the worst stays I've had. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Dirty, uncomfortable, and absolutely not worth it!!

The location is good, but I wouldn't choose this place for a longer stay unless you're a light sleeper. Reception didn't make a point of asking guests to keep quiet during certain hours. Some customers from China talked loudly and handled their staff roughly, making noise. Other guests were also talking loudly when they woke up at 4am.

The lounge has a great sunset view, though it didn't really feel social despite all the bars opposite. Maybe that was just the people staying there at the time. Watch out for jellyfish at the beach, though the sand is nice. I had a great time. The place was tidy, and I saw the cleaner every morning. The women's bathroom had four toilets, two with showers; the men's had three toilets and one shower. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was tasty, and I enjoyed the free tea and coffee. The staff were very nice.

The pods were roomier than I expected. We slept in a two-person pod and could still move around a bit. The mattress isn't very thick, so it may not suit you if you like a really soft bed. I prefer a firmer mattress, so it was just right for me. It's a unique, inexpensive stay in a good location, and the staff were friendly. There's a shelf for book exchanges. The bathrooms are shared, and showers can be busy in the morning, but the line is usually short, so you only wait a few minutes.
