The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu

The dining was magnificent, with excellent value meals. The staff were attentive, pleasant, and helpful, and they even remembered that we prefer chopsticks. Hotel staff overall were also pleasant and helpful. It was disappointing that nobody told us the pool and gym were being restored, and there was no visible work in progress. We drove 1 hour 10 minutes through traffic to a nearby hotel pool, which wasn’t remotely comparable in standard.

The hotel is well cared for, and the food is fresh, good quality, and great. The Sales & Marketing, Event, Banquet, F&B, Front Desk teams, and management were all excellent. The staff were helpful and dedicated, and the service was excellent throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to organise another event with The Palace Hotel. Kudos to the GM for having such a great team. I asked about a birthday surprise decoration for a room, and customer service said it was too late because the request needed to be made 3 days ahead. But they ended up doing it anyway, which was amazing service and much appreciated ❤️ My father had a wonderful experience. I was also really satisfied with their spa. The service there was so nice and helpful, and I got a 10% discount as a hotel guest ❤️

We had a memorable Chinese New Year dinner at The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu. The warm, festive atmosphere made it a lovely place to celebrate with family and friends. The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive all evening, helping everything go smoothly. The menu was clearly put together with care, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared, flavourful, beautifully presented, and authentic. From the yu sang starter to the cold dish platter, fish maw soup, butter almond prawns, and the other main courses, the food was excellent. I’d highly recommend the hotel for a festive meal with great food and service.
