A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Staycation Suites @ Jesselton Quay" is located in Kota Kinabalu. This hotel is located minutes away from the city center.

There are two 24-hour laundries at ground level, along with a mamak, Chinese restaurant, cafe, and grocery store. The house has a sea view and is near the jetty jesselton, so I recommend staying here. One thing I hope they can improve is adding another way out after leaving the building. It's tiring to go all the way around to reach the main road, haha.
I booked through Agoda and had a wonderful time 🩵 The facilities around Jesselton Pier were fantastic for my first trip to Malaysia. It's great value, and I'd recommend the area for a family trip. I think it'd be great with friends too. Definitely recommend the ocean view 🩵🩵🩵
