Tang Dynasty Park Hotel

The room problems went unresolved until the retreat's final day, even though I called several times. The toilet wouldn't flush, the air conditioners were out, the towels and mats didn't seem properly washed, and the sheets had odd stains. Someone staying next door found a dead rat in her air conditioner. I was here for a church retreat and felt so awful that on the first night I thought about converting to Islam. Don't stay here. If you've already booked, I'll keep you in my prayers.

After a long drive through heavy rain, I arrived around 11pm hoping to stay the night. The male front desk employee was unfriendly, wouldn't make eye contact, and demanded my IC in a rude tone. He didn't explain anything about the hotel or give me a breakfast coupon. Since I booked at the last minute, I had no cash for the deposit and offered QR or card payment. He brushed that off and sarcastically said, “next time bawa deposit.” I still went to withdraw cash at midnight to avoid more trouble. The lack of basic courtesy was very disappointing. I expected professional service after such a tiring trip, and won't stay again.

This used to be one of the better hotels, I think, but it's quite old now and I still expected a decent room. They need to improve the facilities. There were cracks in some of the floor, just two hangers with only one usable for clothes, and no mini fridge. The toilet wasn't clean, with pubic hair here and there, which I ended up cleaning myself 😅. The sheets, pillows and towels all felt too old.

The breakfast felt very bare bones and cheap, like they were trying to cut costs. The hotel itself is old and not well kept, and the room had a musty smell when I walked in. The sheets, towels and pillows were old, with hard pillows. There was only one TV channel, and the wifi didn't work.
