The place felt neglected and run-down, and the dusty room didn’t feel clean or hygienic. Breakfast was a mess too: no coffee, flies around the food, and staff who seemed uninterested in even simple requests. For what it costs, I wouldn’t stay here again. Unless a luxury jailhouse is what you’re after, look elsewhere.

The hotel looks run-down, although our rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The shower barely had any water pressure. Breakfast was a disaster: just one kind of bread, with three pieces left out where flies were swarming, and coffee and tea but no cups. A cat even jumped onto the table and started taking food in front of everyone. Completely unacceptable. Day 2, 8am: Breakfast felt like an endurance test. Tables still had yesterday’s leftovers on them, and the coffee cups were so dirty I wondered if they belonged in a lab. The food didn’t look worth eating. If I wanted that kind of chaos, I’d have hosted a toddler’s birthday party at home. It was my first time in Terengganu, and thanks to this place, probably my last.

I booked through agoda and arrived to check in at night, only to be told at reception that AGODA had cancelled my booking. The hotel was fully booked, even though I had paid agoda. This is a very bad hotel.

It’s a quiet place, and the room is really spacious, so it felt worth every penny. The room is a little rundown, though, and the shower runs quite slowly.
