Hotel Al-Saif by OYO Rooms

I was there for work, arriving at 11:45 pm and checking out at 7 am, so I wasn't expecting much. I accepted everything with an open heart. At least I had somewhere to sleep instead of staying in the car 😆. The foldable table in the room was a creative touch 👍👍👍.

The late checkout at 1 pm was handy, and there was a TV with Astro, air conditioning, a fan, and a water heater. It served as a place to sleep for the night, but the room was small and had nowhere to set small items. The toilet had no basin or toilet paper, and the towel smelled. Its ventilation fan didn't work. The mattress was cheap, the bed frame was damaged and sagging, and there were ants on the floor. The window handles were broken, so the window wouldn't close properly. There was no water dispenser.

The room was extremely dirty, with hygiene that felt below zero. The sheets smelled and the blanket was dirty too. I got bitten by mites. The toilet smelled as well, and its walls were dirty. I wouldn't recommend staying there.

At RM68 or RM78 a night, it's an okay option for a short stay, but don't expect much. There's no breakfast or ironing room, though Wi-Fi is available. The friendly receptionist was a plus. It's near Kuala Krai hospital, with a convenience store downstairs, food stalls nearby, and an ATM close by. It seemed to be the only hotel available in Kuala Krai. For a longer stay, I'd look elsewhere.
