I’ve stayed at SCC Velodrome Cheras several times without a single complaint. The rooms there are clean and well kept, the towels and sheets are fresh, and there are no cockroaches. SCC Sentul was a very different experience. I’d normally booked SCC Velodrome Cheras, but it was sold out, so I booked SCC Petaling Jaya. When I arrived, staff said I’d booked SCC Sentul instead. I went there and check-in was easy, with attentive, polite staff. The first room had cockroaches on the floor. The counter quickly approved a room change, and the replacement looked okay at first. Then I lay down and got hit by a horrible hapak smell from the bedsheet. I doubt it had even been washed, and that stink ruined the whole stay. The room was in poor condition overall. I know it’s a budget hotel, but basic design or fewer amenities are one thing, outright dirt is another. Cleanliness clearly isn’t a priority. I’ve stayed at plenty of other budget places in KL, and most are much cleaner. For RM70 a night, this experience felt cruel. Maybe it’s worth RM20-30 at best. I could put up with a clean room that had one or two baby cockroaches, since you can ask the cleaner to spray. The smelly sheet and general dirt were too much. If cleanliness matters to you, don’t go. If you can live with these issues, it’s your call, and yes, the price is cheap. I’m being honest, this isn’t a fake review. Try it yourself if you want, but I’ve warned you.

The building is old and has some technical problems, but the staff were very helpful. The room was spacious and practical, with a well-working air conditioner, hot water all the time, a clean new bed, and great pillows. We liked the stay overall. You have to pay a little extra for a window that looks outside. The air conditioner units are inside the building, and the engine noise runs nonstop, 24 hours a day. Thank you.

I booked SCC Hotel City Centre Kuala Lumpur from 25 December 2025 to 31 December 2025, but the room was so bad that I asked to cancel on the day I arrived, 25 December. It smelled strongly and unpleasantly as soon as I walked in, was unclean and unhygienic, and looked nothing like the photos or description online. I knew right away it wasn’t suitable even for a few hours. I went straight to reception and explained that I didn’t want to stay and the room was unacceptable. They still refused to refund any of my payment, not even a small amount. The staff weren’t helpful, and it was disappointing that the refund policy wasn’t honored. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Malaysia and around the world, and I’ve never had such a terrible combination of room quality and customer service. The whole experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and not worth the money. I strongly wouldn’t recommend SCC Hotel City Centre Kuala Lumpur to anyone who cares about cleanliness, comfort, and proper service.

A big thank you to the hotel team for making us feel so welcome. Everyone was friendly and professional, and the service was top-notch from check-in through checkout. They made my trip easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended. Thanks so much, scc 🙌❤️❤️

I booked five nights and ended up spending just 10 minutes in the room before finding somewhere else nearby. As soon as I checked in and went up, a strong, strange smell hit me. It was so intense I could barely stay for 10 seconds, let alone 10 minutes. The place was dirty, extremely unhygienic, and smelled like hell. I was lucky to find a good room nearby. They didn’t refund my money, but I don’t care as long as that smell didn’t kill me. Please don’t book this property, even if it’s the last accommodation left in the world. Total waste of money.
