ABS Bintang Guest House

The reception lady was lovely, but the room wasn’t sanitary. One wall was covered in mould, the bottom of another had holes, and the bedsheets had obvious stains. Turning on the AC made it worse. I was meant to stay tonight, but I’m going back to the airport to sleep on the floor instead. There are no windows, and I think staying here would definitely make you sick. If you’re in KL for a layover or short stay and just need somewhere to leave your bags while you go out, it might be an option.

The room was okay and the location was perfect, but it didn’t feel safe at night. There was nobody at reception, and the main door was usually left open because customers let it stay open, with no one there to watch it.

For the price, I think it’s worth it, and the bathroom was clean enough. They have a water heater, which is convenient in colder months like December. The room was fairly clean, though the bedsheet may have had a few stains. Facilities were good enough for what I paid, with both AC and a fan. You can easily hear neighbors talking because the walls aren’t soundproof. Still, it was a good experience, and I’d come back for another stay.

The receptionists were really wonderful and friendly. The rooms are very small, but suitable for the price. I didn’t like the wooden walls, since you can hear everything from your neighbor, even him scratching his back. Also, the hotel entrance is hard to find because there’s no sign showing where it is.
