Apple Hotel

I got a cheap price, so I can’t complain about everything, but the hygiene was hard to overlook. Dirt, dust, and stains were scattered around the walls, by the toilet, and near the bathroom window and doors. It seemed like housekeeping handled the bed, mopping, and vacuuming, but didn’t keep up with those smaller parts of the room.

I’m not coming back after this stay. The room was tiny, and even on the way from the lift I could smell smoke, like it was being circulated again and again. The free Wi-Fi also comes from a third-party provider, outside the hotel’s management. Think twice before booking.

The room looked nice, but it felt cramped, with no space for luggage or for Muslim guests to pray. Under the beds was really dirty, and dirty water was leaking down a wall near a power socket, which made me worry about electrocution. The hotel photos are very misleading. Outside, the surroundings were filthy, with a pasar malam in front, and there’s no parking provided. You’re left to use public parking at your own risk, which cost RM13-15 for the whole night. The staff looked unfriendly too. I definitely won’t return.

Could work for a family travelling on a tight budget, but many family rooms have no windows and feel suffocating. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, which gets hot unless it’s cloudy. There’s no car park, and although Wi-Fi is free, it’s slow.
