Ascott Sentral Kuala Lumpur

The staff were lovely when we asked about a late checkout. They tried their best, but couldn’t arrange it because of other reservations. They did keep our luggage safe and offered us drinks while we waited, which was kind of them. We chose this place for its short walk to KL sentral, since much of our itinerary was based there, and it worked out really well. There are also plenty of Indian food outlets across the street. Our studio apartments were spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our three-night stay. We had booked two apartments separately on short notice, so the hotel couldn’t put both parties on the same floor, which was understandable. Breakfast was simple and a bit repetitive over the days we tried it. We didn’t mind because we wanted something light, though anyone expecting a full buffet might be disappointed.

The rooms are apartment-style and very clean, and the pools were nice and quiet. There’s also a laundry room. KL Sentral mall and station are about a five-minute walk away, with Little India nearby too. For cheap, good hawker-style food, try Moneys Corner nearby, and the kopi Tarik was great.

The room was large and fully equipped, and I stayed for two nights. KL sentral is about a 6 to 10 minute walk, depending on your pace. There’s no covered path or direct connection to the hotel. Lots of Indian restaurants are nearby, and the location is a good base for getting to different parts of the city centre.

I stopped using the Ascott Hotel gym two months ago, but I’m still waiting for my membership deposit. I’ve requested the refund three times and haven’t received it or even a clear explanation. It’s very disappointing and unprofessional to leave a customer without an answer after repeated follow-ups. A deposit should be returned within a reasonable time. I hope management treats this seriously and resolves it immediately.
