Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree

My February 2026 visit is still memorable, even though some time has passed. Khun FA was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout, and her service made breakfast each morning especially enjoyable. The food had excellent variety and quality. The hotel is right in the city centre, with shops, restaurants, and local attractions within walking distance across the street and nearby. It was easy to get around, and the hospitality left a lasting impression.

The room was decorated to match the theme we chose and was sparkling clean. They brought fruit and a “Happy Anniversary” cake, and the bathroom was tidy with a good range of amenities. Check-in was seated and came with welcome drinks, snacks, and pleasantly scented cool towels. Afterwards, the host showed us to the room and explained how everything worked.

The staff were warm, attentive, and among the most hospitable I’ve encountered anywhere. Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur occupies the upper floors of a residential tower, with guest rooms starting at level 54, so the city views are breathtaking and the place feels exclusive. The room’s design stood out: bronze metal details on the wardrobe and doors, plus a striking floral stencil wall. It felt carefully put together and refreshingly different from the usual safe five-star look. High ceilings made the space feel open, and the bedside controls for the electric net and blackout curtains were handy. There was also a Toto electric toilet that felt hygienic and was surprisingly satisfying to use. The bathroom was memorable too. Electric blinds beside the bathtub let me soak while looking out at Kuala Lumpur’s bright skyline at night, and the large ceiling-mounted rainfall shower had ambient lighting options for a spa-like feel. It was a distinctive mix of comfort, design, and excellent service, and one of my most memorable hotel stays. I’d gladly return.

I’ve stayed here six or seven times, and I still think nothing in KL beats this residence. The staff are welcoming and accommodating, and the rates stay very competitive despite all the luxuries. The location is premium, with direct access to Pavillion mall, and the room’s fixtures, fittings, and bed give it an executive feel. Highly recommended.
