BRYQs Hotel Kuala Lumpur

We booked on Thursday for a Saturday to Sunday stay for three adults and one child, and had already paid in full. Then, just two hours before Saturday check-in, Trip.com called to say the hotel could no longer take our booking. This was ridiculous. If there was a problem, why wait until the last minute to tell us? People were travelling from far away, and we'd planned the whole weekend around the stay. Getting cancelled two hours before check-in caused completely unnecessary stress, especially with a child. Apparently a confirmed, paid reservation means nothing here. Taking payment and cancelling so late is beyond unprofessional, especially when the hotel had days to let us know. We're extremely disappointed and won't recommend it to anyone.

It's two blocks from the city centre, but there's nothing to do in the immediate area. The AC was an issue because the remote showed only half the numerals, so I had to guess the rest. The room also took a very long time to cool down. The bed is too big for the room.

Pallvi, Sha, and Larif really made this stay feel like home. They were kind, smiling, and genuinely attentive, whether they were sharing travel tips or just stopping for a friendly chat. We stayed from 28 Oct to 3 Nov and loved it. BRYQS Hotel was clean and comfortable, with a great spot near KL Sentral and a good price. We’d happily stay again next time we’re in KL.

The staff were kind when we checked in, and I appreciated that. The room was a letdown, though. It had no window, and the bathroom had no solid door, so its strong smell went straight toward the bed, which was less than a foot away. We’re on a tight budget right now and couldn’t just book somewhere else, so we stayed, but I was pretty bummed. This might work if you’re out all day, but it wasn’t what I expected.
