Ceylonz Starlight Suites

There's a 1000 Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) deposit to pay, and daily housekeeping isn't included, unlike at a regular hotel. The location is okay, with not much right around the building, though Chinatown is about a 15-20 minute walk away. I liked my triple room on the 32nd floor and its beautiful view. The pool is huge and has an amazing outlook, but don't count on relaxing on a lounger. There are only six for the whole large terrace. The elevators are extremely slow too, and the waits can be really frustrating, especially since just getting up or down can take so long. The room and pool are great, but the limited facilities, no daily cleaning, slow lifts, and lack of pool loungers are worth knowing about.

The pool and gym look nice, but the pool was very dirty and the gym was underwhelming. Location is fine if you don't mind walking 15 minutes each way. I'd strongly suggest looking at AirBnB, or paying a bit more and visiting some rooftops for the view. Service was horrible. I was ignored at the counter most of the time, and when staff did respond, they weren't willing to help. Rooms weren't cleaned during my stay, and I wasn't allowed a fresh towel. They seemed more focused on their phones than on me. The beds are old, the walls are paper thin, and even breathing carries through to the other side. There's no shower curtain or glass wall, so the bathroom gets wet all over. If you earn more than minimum wage, skip this place.

Clean and tidy, with a good spot in Bukit Bintang. Great hotel for a stop in KL, and the swimming pool is great.

For what it costs, this place was exceptional. Our top-floor room faced the KL tower, and the view was amazing. We had no cleanliness issues, and the kitchen was clean too. The bathroom was small, so the toilet area got wet, but that's common in many cheaper southeast Asian hotels and wasn't a big deal. There's a shop by reception open late for essentials, and the rooftop restaurant had good food. The pool and gym were nice, with awesome views. We stayed seven nights. It's worth knowing this is serviced apartments rather than a hotel, so one room clean per seven nights is included unless you pay. That worked fine for us, and they changed the bins more often when we asked. We loved the place, and it made our time in KL that much better. No complaints :)
