I’ve only been here for less than a month, but things have gone pretty well so far. My room is small but comfortable for one person, and having its own bathroom means I don’t have to share. Most tenants keep to themselves, so at least my floor is quiet. Getting around is easy because indoor bridges connect the building to both the LRT and MRT stations. I’m renting a Domora-managed unit, and their response has impressed me. My shower didn’t work on the first day, but maintenance came straight away to fix it. There are lots of eateries close by, some open 23 or 24 hours, plus KK Mart and 7-Eleven downstairs. I like that those shops don’t sell cigarettes, since there’s also a college in the building. One small issue is that cooking smells sometimes drift between the rooms because they’re close together. It’s manageable if you don’t mind that now and then. So far I’d give it 7.5 out of 10. I’ll update this if anything changes.

What is going on with management? I left my access card inside the room and can’t get anyone to answer the phone. I understand if nobody works on weekends, but I’ve waited three days, from 21/11 until 24/11, and still haven’t had a reply to my messages or email, or a call back. Even during working hours they don’t pick up. Is the management phone just decoration? What am I supposed to do now?

I couldn't sleep properly because people yell in the hallway every night. I told management about it, but nothing has been done. The lift is also always out of order. The water dispenser has been broken for a month, so you have to take the smelly stairs to another floor. And if you forget your keycard or need something, customer service can be hard to reach. They charge between 50-150RM depending on the day. Awful place to live, 1/10 for me. Don’t stay here if you want to avoid problems. 🙃✌️

I rented a room from LiveIn for two years and never left a bad review, even though there were plenty of service problems: broken lifts, water issues, no one at the front desk, and a RM100 charge for a lost card stated in the agreement. You might end up spending a lot on things like that. Now I’m devastated over this renewal mess. Please offer one clear renewal option. They had me confirm online, but their own staff didn’t know I’d renewed and still called and sent a WhatsApp asking if I wanted to renew. That made me think the term was still unrenewed. Before deciding to end the contract, I contacted customer service, and they didn’t tell me that ending it would forfeit my deposit because I had renewed online. The agreement should explain this online renewal system. The response I got was to keep contacting the renewal team. How did the escalation not reach that team directly when it’s all one company? Done.

The location is convenient, but I’d strongly advise people looking for a new place to rent to avoid this one. The management alone is enough of a deterrent. On top of rent, monthly bills include room utilities service, common area utilities service, water, and air conditioner service, even if the unit doesn’t need servicing. Those fees can add RM100-RM200. Then, when you leave, they may still deduct around RM200 from your deposit for air conditioner servicing. They may also cut the deposit over an “old shower head.” One tenant reported bed bugs and was charged RM250 for someone to spray the bed, without replacing the mattress. There’s no security despite the security deposit, and management has said they aren’t responsible for reported stolen items. There isn’t even a receptionist on duty. Management can be slow to reply, especially on weekends. Staff aren’t reachable by anything other than WhatsApp or email, so if you get locked out of your room, all you can do is wait.
