The location is the main thing going for this hotel. It’s close to MRL, AGL, and SPL stations, so getting around is easy. If room condition and service aren’t a big concern and you mainly need accessibility, it might work. We booked through Agoda for one day, partly because the rating was above 7/10 across more than 3,000 reviews. We hadn’t read the individual reviews closely. Finding reception was difficult, and then we couldn’t get into the building until another guest came out. We had to wait outside before going upstairs, which was a hassle. At check-in we paid RM55, RM50 as a deposit and RM5 for cleaning. The room was okay for sleeping, but not very clean. The place felt more like a hostel, with dim lights, old facilities, and no renovations. For the price and the inconvenience, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are better options for the same amount, with cleaner rooms and better service.

The TV didn’t work, and the check-in counter felt scary because there were no lights at all at 1400hrs Malaysia. Locals have to pay 5Myr, why are those Oyo rules? The 50 deposit is okay. Solo girls, take precautions. The reception staff are foreigners, and there are only local eateries nearby.

The location is the standout: popular attractions are close, and there’s a Pakistani restaurant right across the street if you’re coming from Pakistan and want Pakistani food. Prices are reasonable, and for the area this is one of the best hotels, with everything nearby. My room was very clean and nice, and the furniture and other things looked almost new. The one letdown was service. Staff seemed a bit lazy and often avoided work, telling guests, “Please do it yourself.” Aside from that, the location especially made it a convenient stay.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location by Chow Kit metro station. There’s no cleaning service, and the place is dirty and disgusting. The pillows and bedsheets stink and have stains. Don’t even think of booking here. Pay more for an Airbnb, whatever you borrow.

I’ve stayed in hotels, sleeper buses, hostels, and shared dorms all over the world, but I’ve never left a hotel right after checking in before. I understand the people who can’t see how anyone could give this place more than one star. The bed was the worst part, stained all over, dirty smelling, and covered in long dark hair. The towels were dirty too, the toilet had piss in it and no toilet paper, and the bathroom floor was flooded. There wasn’t a single clean spot, and I was so overwhelmed I had to leave immediately. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes as soon as I opened the door, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. There was mold in every corner and all over the walls. The furniture was broken, and a cockroach came out from under the moldy fridge. When I asked for a refund, they just laughed at me. There are plenty of hotels in Kuala Lumpur. For your own sake, don’t come here.
