Fumah Hotel Kepong

We stayed at Kepong hotel for one night with friends. Three of us had enough room, and it was very cheap. The room and bathroom were clean, too. Just note there's a RM100 deposit at check-in. You can find an iron along the hallway. I'd recommend staying here.

The room was neat and clean, and the price and setting felt reasonable. I booked an economy standard room with two single beds but got one double bed instead. Parking is outside only and has to be paid for online. At that price, don't expect too much.

The pictures on the Booking website made this look like a large, beautiful classic hotel, but the actual place was just a small three-storey building. There was no bottled water or toothbrush in the room either. It's also a long way from everywhere, surrounded by manufacturing sites and small factories.

We were exhausted and only needed a few hours of sleep before driving on, but there was hammering in the hallway while we were still in bed. We checked in at 6am and were charged an extra RM20 for early check-in, even though we told the desk we'd leave at noon, just six hours later. They said their system didn't allow late check-in. The room and bathroom were clean, and instant coffee was provided, though there was no bottled water or toothbrush and toothpaste. The wooden bed creaked whenever we moved. It wasn't the restful stop we had hoped for.
