Orkid Hills Hotel

We had a wonderful stay with the family. The hotel felt cozy, and our rooms were very clean. The Bangladeshi owner was warm and welcoming, which made us feel at home. There's also a great Bangladeshi food restaurant right nearby. Highly recommended for a stay in Malaysia!

The location is great, but the room and facilities were disappointing. The bed sheets and towel were dirty, with black spots, and there was mold on the ceiling. We also found a broken chair with a wobbly backrest. When we asked, they replaced it with a new one. The bath water was cold at first, and only became hot after we asked for room service. The whole experience was very unsatisfying. I'll check Google review ratings before booking a hotel next time.

There's a nice terrace and a small gym, and the staff are helpful and respectful. Reception is staffed both day and night. The hotel isn't new, and it's about an average 2-3 star place, but good value for money. I'll definitely stay here again when I come to Malaysia.

I spent three nights here over Christmas. The price was reasonable for a peak holiday period, and the room was generally okay with basic facilities. It's quite far from the city center, Bukit Bintang, so you'll need Grab or public transport to get around. A strong cigarette smoke smell stayed in the room throughout my visit. I don't know where it came from, but it was still very noticeable with the bathroom door shut. I told reception; they said they'd try spraying air freshener, but couldn't change the room because the hotel was full. The spray barely helped, and the smell remained. The price is acceptable, but the smoke issue needs serious attention, especially for non-smoking guests. I hope management does a better job enforcing non-smoking rooms.
