Hotel Mezzo

The location made the business trip convenient, with eateries, 7e, fast food, a mart selling fruit behind the hotel, and a 24-hour laundry about 50m away. Service was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. My room had a TV, a small bedside table and another small table under the TV with water bottles and mugs. It was enough for a shower and some rest, though there was no kettle. Hot drinks and an ironing area are available in the level 1 lounge. Parking was the big headache: after my meeting ended at 5.30pm, I waited in the car for 1/2 hour to get a nearby space. Parking is free if you use a yellow box.

The check-in information kept changing. The two front desk staff first said I could pay an extra headcount fee for more guests, then said I would need to pay much more for a different room. There was no parking provided, and finding a space nearby was extremely difficult. In the room, the air-conditioning took over an hour to cool things down and still never got cold enough. The shower drained so slowly that water started flooding after a short time, so we had to keep stopping the water to let it drain. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom either. Very poor experience, and I won't come again.

For my work trip, I spent one night at Hotel Mezzo, Cheras KL on 29.6.2025. Its location near Maluri LRT station and AEON was handy, and the clean room was fine for one person on a short stay. This is a reasonably priced budget hotel, with okay service. They supplied 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water, but there was no coffee or tea in the room. Those were in the pantry, though I couldn't find sugar. The iron board was available upon request, but I still had to use it in the pantry area. A decent simple place in Cheras.

It's a budget-friendly place with good value for money. Sound carries through the walls, though shutting the bathroom door helps reduce it. Worth considering if you're looking for an affordable stay.
