Kingston Hotel 12 Jalan Raja Laut, Kl

My mother fell in the poorly lit alley behind the hotel while we were trying to find the parking area. The path had potholes and uneven pavement, and she suffered bleeding abrasions and lacerations. When we asked for a first aid kit, staff said the hotel did not have one. We also asked for a supervisor or manager, but were told they were at another location and nothing could be done. At checkout, a different receptionist acknowledged that a security guard usually guides guests to parking and that the hotel had failed to do so. He also said management did not provide a first aid kit. No action followed. This started with a confusing check-in at Kingston Hotel, 12 Jalan Tiong Nam, Chow Kit (formerly Hotel Club Dolphin). We received a key and were asked for a deposit, but got no briefing about the hotel or parking. We parked outside and later got a fine. Only when we raised it at reception the next day were we told parking was supposedly behind the hotel. We questioned why nobody had said so at check-in and said we would not pay for a fine caused by the hotel's oversight. Finding the lot was difficult, with no signs, guards, or clear directions. We drove around and asked people before locating it. The room was clean and spacious, but had no security latch, a flimsy chair, no amenities until we requested them, and a bed that sagged because of weak springs. After we complained twice at reception, Agoda told us the hotel claimed we had not raised the issue directly. That was false, and staff had acknowledged the mistake. Agoda said it could not help further. The stay showed poor management, inadequate guest care, and a lack of safety measures. I would not recommend it, especially to families or elderly guests.

The people at the hotel were the best part of my visit. From day one, they were friendly and helpful, sorted out issues with a smile, and shared tips and places to see around the city. Thanks to Irfan and the rest of the guys for making my time in Kuala Lumpur so pleasant. The room was spotless and comfortable, and it was easy to walk from the hotel to the city center. I also really liked the restaurant. The food was delicious and had plenty of variety, so I ate most of my meals there. Highly recommended.

The staff stood out for being professional, friendly, and willing to help whenever I needed anything. Kingston Hotel was clean and comfortable, and its location made it easy to reach attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. I’d recommend it if you want a comfortable place in a convenient spot.

I’d asked for a one-hour-later checkout, and the staff arranged it without any fuss. Subaha was especially kind and friendly, and Irfane and Salome also made me feel welcome with their positive attitude and hospitality. I’ve just checked out of Kingston 12 in Kuala Lumpur after a lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful and has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff made me feel appreciated as a guest. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur. Thanks for a pleasant visit!
