KL Guest Hotel

The WiFi was really poor, and the room had a damaged ceiling. At check-in that afternoon, the woman who helped us wasn't friendly. There was only half a bottle of liquid soap in the toilet, and noise from the neighboring room at midnight made it hard to rest.

Our room was dusty, and the sheets weren't clean either. The pillowcases had yellowish marks. The towels were brown and torn, and the washroom wasn't hygienic. There was also a very unpleasant smell along the level 3 corridor. Water flow from the shower and basin tap kept varying. They should provide extra room keys based on how many guests are staying.

The air conditioning barely cooled the room, maybe to around 23°C, and the ceiling was badly damaged and unrepaired. A plug was damaged too, and several lights weren't working, including the bathroom light. The towels looked dirty and stained, and there were marks on the bed, some black stuff I couldn't identify. Before check-in, nobody answered the phone. The lift was broken, so I had to carry my luggage up to level 3. For a boutique hotel, this wasn't worth a three-star rating.

The staff were friendly and responded quickly when we needed something. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, the train station is close, and Grab drivers can find the hotel easily. I had a great stay. There's nothing in particular I disliked; it's a budget hotel, but the standard was high.
