De Sentral Hotel

We stayed here while waiting for our ETS train to gemas at night, and it served that purpose for the price. The room cost RM 95 for a day, with late checkout until 6 pm available for an extra RM 5 per hour. The location is handy, within walking distance of KL sentral and NU sentral across from the hotel, and the Monorail Station is about 2-3 minutes away. We asked for a front-facing room overlooking the main road. It had a towel, mirror, toilet tissue, soap, air conditioning, a table, chairs, and a cupboard. There was no TV, and the room and general atmosphere felt old. Rust-colored marks on the toilet floor and bowl were distracting, and the sheet had a little dirt here and there. There was also a small cigarette burn hole in the blanket.

For 70 Rm, I didn’t think this room was worth it. It was very small, with dirty walls, a loose toilet door knob, and an air conditioner that was installed but not working, so all I had was a wall fan above the bed. Around 10 PM, just as I was going to sleep, a strong cigarette smell suddenly came into the room. I couldn’t tell if it came from outside or the hallway. The one good thing was the location, right beside KL sentral.

The boss was very kind, and the price was reasonable for a guest house in central Kuala Lumpur. NU Sentral Mall is opposite, with plenty of good food and shops. I really enjoyed staying there with my friends and family.

It’s very close to nu sentral@klsentral, but the bed and pillow looked awful. There was no drinking water heater or toothbrush, and the lift felt scary. The furniture was arranged terribly, and the TV was an old CRT with Indian writing.
