Nan Yeang Hotel makes a practical base for exploring Kuala Lumpur on foot. From the heart of Chinatown, you can easily get to the city’s landmarks, and Central Market (Pasar Seni) and the LRT and MRT stations are only a short walk away. Right outside, Petaling Street has plenty of street food and markets. The facilities are basic, in line with the budget-friendly price, but the location is very convenient.

For a budget stay, the room size is good, and I got one with a balcony and private bathroom. The staff were helpful too. The building is old and needs renovation, and the location gets especially messy at night. If management put a bit more effort into cleanliness, this would be a great choice. It’s not a fancy modern hotel, but I’d recommend it to budget travelers.

I couldn’t sleep calmly because of baby cockroaches, aghhhhh, it was so bad. The mirror and bedsheet were dirty, and my skin was itching from the bedsheet. I hope they fix the facilities and improve things.

The hotel service didn’t apologize for its mistakes, and customer service didn’t look after tourists staying there well. We won’t stay again. 😐😐
