I’d give it zero stars if I could. We waited more than an hour for the person handling check-in, and only called because nobody had come with our room key. Customer service then told us our booking had been cancelled because they couldn’t reach us. We only learned that after making the call. By the time we finally got a room, late at night, it had no windows and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. The unit was badly designed, and phone reception in the room was poor. We paid for the room shown in the listing, not this disappointing room at a property like Binjai 8. If you still plan to book through OYO Home (KL), be careful.

The apartment is handy if you’re attending an event at PNB Darby hotel, but the stay itself was inconvenient. There were no cups, the bed wasn’t comfortable, and the bathroom was tiny. The unit also didn’t really look like the pictures. If you only need somewhere to sleep for a night and can make do, it might be okay. I’d stayed in this unit before, though I don’t know when OYO took over. This time I asked to collect the key early, at 12:30 pm, because I had class from 1 pm until night. They said no, so I had to check in at night. The person asked me to go somewhere else to pick up the key, a place I didn’t know since I don’t live in KL. Then he told me to wait in the apartment lobby while he brought it over. After half an hour he still hadn’t arrived. I called several times, and he kept saying he had another customer and couldn’t come. If he couldn’t make it, he should have arranged someone else or not promised to bring it. My friend ended up taking me to get the key. They also required a deposit. The check-in and check-out process was a hassle, so I wouldn’t recommend it. Parking is very expensive too: RM6 for one hour on Sunday at noon, and RM5 for just 15 minutes on Saturday night. I don’t understand how they calculate it. They should consider self check-in to make arrival easier.

After we finally got inside, there was no Wi-Fi, no water, and not even a kettle for boiling water. The person who was meant to meet us showed up an hour late and couldn’t find my booking. I had to spend money calling Expedia to get someone to confirm that the reservation was real. Are they even still operating?

The room was nice, and I liked the place, gym, and pool. Parking was the downside: there’s no space reserved for customers, so you have to pay the parking fee.
