Paper Plane Hostel

We had everything we needed for a good price, so I'd definitely recommend this as a good-value place. Our eight-bed dorm had beds with power, a reading light, a little shelf, and, best of all for me, a small curtain. The lockers fit both of our backpacks, large and small. The hostel has two or three floors, several dorms, two bathrooms, and a roof terrace. They also offer laundry, oatmeal for a small breakfast, and tea and coffee. It's about five minutes from a metro station and easy to find. The staff welcomed us warmly, let us check in early, and having staff around 24 hours made our middle-of-the-night departure no problem.

It's easy to find and tucked away somewhere quiet, with food and market places nearby. The rooftop terrace is nice too. I really enjoyed my time here: the hostel was clean, and the attentive staff were friendly. It felt safe and was definitely good value.

I stayed two nights in a comfortable single room. The hostel was clean and pleasant, with a relaxed feel among the residents. The kitchen was kept clean and had what I needed, and there were enough showers and other facilities. I found some good local restaurants down the road. The resident kitties in the front yard were a bonus; they like scratches and pats and make the place feel homely. It's about a 10-minute walk to the monorail station. I'd most likely stay here again when I return to KL.

The location is close to the food street, less than a five-minute walk, and there are several nearby breakfast spots and cafes in the residential area. There's even a gin bar two doors down. Chinatown and the tourist area are farther away, 15 minutes or more on foot, but still walkable. We stayed in a four-bed dorm, though private rooms are available, including female-only dorms. The room and shared bathrooms and showers were very clean. There's an outdoor common area, plus a small, cozy lobby with couches and a desktop computer. Each morning they put out tea, coffee, and crackers, and filtered water is free; other drinks cost extra. Towels and laundry also have an extra charge. The staff were friendly, and it was a fantastic hostel stay. I'd come back!
