Prime Hotel

I’d booked a large room with twin beds, but they gave me a small one instead. The receptionist was nice, though the other staff were impatient and rude. I won’t stay there again on my next trip to Malaysia.

It’s a compact hotel and the room is small, but the location near Bukit Bintang and TRX makes getting around easy. Good value for the money.

My first impression wasn’t great, but the hotel staff were really helpful. I’d forgotten to bring a converter adapter, asked at the lobby, and they provided one. Well done.

I booked a Deluxe Queen for RM105 a night and shared it with a friend, so it was affordable. The room was very small, as Agoda had already described, and had no window, but for the price it felt worth it. We didn’t spend much time inside. There was Wi-Fi, an electric kettle, a drink, a mug, tea, coffee, a prayer mat, and a hot shower. I could pray comfortably in the room, and there was also an iron outside the lift on my floor. No deposit was needed, just a tourist tax of RM10 per night. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants, with a café right across the street and a 7-Eleven nearby. Pavilion, Lot 10, and Fahrenheit are around 500m away on foot. TRX is also walkable, though I didn’t go there. The road toward central bukit bintang is a bit uphill. I usually took the MRT from Bukit Bintang instead of TRX. For KLIA, taking the MRT from TRX to Putrajaya Sentral and transferring to the KLIA Transit costs only RM13 total, which is cheaper. I stayed two nights last week and arrived at 5 AM. The hotel was fully booked, so I couldn’t check in early, but the staff kindly let me rest on a sofa. I felt safe, and the lobby had a water dispenser, comfortable sofas, and a toilet. The staff were very nice. As a Muslim, I appreciated being near a mosque where I could pray Fajr. I think the staff might also have let me pray in the lobby since they pray there too, but I was too shy to ask. The prayer mat in the room was a thoughtful touch. Totally worth it.
