Quill Residence KL

Getting around was easy, with public transport nearby and Bukit Bintang just a few monorail stops away. I booked through Five Senses, and the process was smooth and hassle free; their dedicated counter is conveniently at reception. Fizz was especially friendly and helpful, and thanks to the housekeeping team, the room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Quill Residence was a comfortable, convenient place to stay. I had a pleasant time and would recommend it to others visiting Kuala Lumpur.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this stay at Quill Residence by Infinity Pool was so appalling that I feel I should warn other travelers. At check-in, the host (M.M.) gave me keys to an apartment that was already occupied. I walked in on a couple sleeping. That was a serious security failure. It seemed the access codes for different units were identical or poorly managed, which left me concerned that guests’ privacy and belongings might not be safe. After that first mistake, I was moved to another unit. It was filthy, with a foul smell, mold in the shower, stained sheets, hair on the floor, loose electrical sockets and a cockroach infestation. The host pressured me to pay in cash although I preferred a card. I eventually paid by terminal, but the pressure was concerning. When I saw the room’s condition, I asked for a refund, which was promised. A few days later, though, the host falsely reported a “No-Show” to Booking.com and tried to charge me an extra 57€ penalty. That was outright fraud. I went back to the lobby to confront M.M. about the false report. He saw me, kept me waiting for over an hour, then hid or refused to come out and take responsibility. Do not book here. This place felt like a scam and an insult to Malaysian hospitality. There are plenty of beautiful, safe and clean options in KL. This isn’t one of them. Stay away.

The night view of KL tower is superb, and the apartment was clean with all the amenities. Its location is ideal for shopping and finding food, and having swimming facilities is a nice extra. I had a good stay.
