Riccarton Capsule Hotel

The capsule was peaceful, with no noise or unpleasant smells, and I felt it was safe for a woman travelling alone. The air conditioning was very cold, and the capsule had handy buttons for locking and unlocking the door, a reading light, and adjusting the air flow. The toilets were quite clean. The pillow was a little flat, so a cushion to stack with it would help. There's also a rooftop where you can relax and enjoy the views. I enjoyed my stay at Riccarton Capsule and would recommend it to younger travellers or anyone comfortable climbing into and out of an upper bunk. A KL friend had warned me dormitory-style hotels might not be safe, but I was more concerned about my belongings than my own safety. The online listing showed lockers, but there weren't any when I arrived, so I had to carry all my things up to my upper-deck capsule. That might not suit older guests, people with physical limitations, or anyone with large luggage. If you don't like climbing, this may not be for you.

The toilet was alright, but I had a bad stay at this capsule hotel. The sensor card was in poor condition, and the owner said it was useless for the sensor and only worked to turn on the room electricity. The capsule door sensor was broken, and the owner didn't seem to care about fixing it. We had to push the door hard to open it. The location wasn't great either, with no nearby shops, only gas stations. It's the worst capsule hotel I've stayed in.

Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is nearby, which is a plus. But there are no shops close by, so you'll need your own transport. It was very noisy at night because of mat rempit on the highway. No toiletries were provided, so bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo. There was a cup and water heater, but no coffee or tea. For the price, it's not the best.

The bathroom blinds need fixing so you can enjoy the view from the bathtub. The shower head in the tub should be replaced too.
