The apartment was spacious, and the pool area had a nice view, but the room was too dimly lit for me. Royce Residence wasn’t a stay I really enjoyed. There were small food crumbs on the floor, though the room was otherwise quite clean, and there was no shower gel until I asked for a refill. I also couldn’t use the gym in socks. I understand proper shoes may be required, but I only planned to do yoga and stretching, where socks are usually fine. The lifts sometimes ignored the buttons and didn’t work properly. When I checked in, my room had no internet. Reception sent a staff member, but he didn’t fix it and just gave me Wi-Fi from the floor below. It still didn’t work in the bedroom, so I had to buy mobile data to work.

The apartment balcony and rooftop both offer amazing views across most of the city, and the infinity pool looks straight onto the twin towers. It’s right by lots of good restaurants and about a 7-8 min walk to KLCC. I stayed 8 nights and really liked it overall. There weren’t enough power outlets, especially in the main areas. I had to shift the TV console a little to plug my laptop in behind it.

The rooftop pool’s sky view of the Twin Towers was a great bonus, and the facilities inside the room impressed us. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with food options nearby and KLCC close by. WhatsApp communication made customer service fast and responsive, with questions answered quickly. It felt like five-star hotel amenities and service. The lifts can be slow, and check-in takes time when it’s busy. Still, it’s good value, especially for a few days. I had a good stay at Royce Residence Kuala Lumpur.

The main frustration was the lift queue at checkout. Check-in and checkout are on the 51st floor, and during the 10.30-11.30am rush all the elevators head to the top floor. Other guests trying to get down to the ground floor can wait through at least 3-4 elevator rounds. Management should do something to better manage the lift traffic. The hotel/service apartment itself was good to stay in. Our unit had a full kitchen with oven, fridge, and utensils, plus in-unit laundry/dryer, high speed Wi-Fi, housekeeping, and concierge. It also has Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+.

The location and swimming were superb, and the view was superb too. My two-bedroom apartment was small, as is typical for a CBD unit. The lift didn’t always work properly when I tagged my card to select a floor, and the car park entryway was narrow. That seems typical of CBD design, so you need to drive through carefully.
