The property is secure and in a good spot near TRX and its metro station, with Pavilion about a 10-minute walk away. The building is well maintained, the 32nd-floor pool has superb panoramic views over KL towards TRX, and the gym is good. This was my third different unit here, a very comfortable studio with a good kitchenette and washing machine. Most of the staff are very good, especially the slim concierge in the grey uniform, who’s always helpful. I should note his name. I booked through Airbnb this time, which was much better. On my previous trips, Agoda caused problems, including rude and dishonest customer service and cancelling my booking without giving a reason while I was on my way to the property. For that reason, Tribeca using Agoda is a negative. Tribeca apologized for the extremely frustrating check-in fiasco last time, but we’re all tired of Agoda’s incompetence and dishonesty, and formulaic apologies aren’t enough. At check-in, Tribeca should have front desk staff with a good command of English. A blue-uniformed staff member was difficult to understand and mumbled through a mask, so that could have been better.
There are two ground-floor desks, one for the hotel and one for the apartments. I stayed in an apartment on the 18th floor, booked through Airbnb at Grace's place. It was a very good stay, with a clean building, pools on the 32nd and 37th floors, and a gym. Worth it.
We spent five nights at Canopy Lives at Tribeca by Five Senses and really enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean, the bed was great, and the view of Kuala Lumpur city center was beautiful. There was a large fridge with a freezer and an induction stove for cooking. The pool and gym were great, and we were nearly always there alone. The location was fantastic, close to Time Square and Pavilion, which has a big food court. We’d definitely recommend Canopy Lives and come back on our next visit to Kuala Lumpur.
I booked through Airbnb with Joel/cherry as the host from Five Senses, but got no reply to my messages or calls. Parking for two nights cost RM70-80. The service was very poor. Good luck to anyone who decides to stay here.
