St. Giles Mid Valley Kuala Lumpur

The pastries at breakfast looked tempting, but a few were dry and tasteless, so they could be improved. The rest of the meal had a great selection, with plenty to choose from. Check-in at St. Giles Mid Valley Hotel went smoothly. Ms Dapika, if I remember her name correctly, was warm and kindly provided complimentary breakfast for two, which I appreciated. The lobby felt welcoming, and the 8oz coffee with pastry was a lovely touch. My room was comfortable with a city view, and I especially liked the bathtub. They also provided complimentary drinking water, coffee, tea and three packs of nuts. A pleasant stay, and I’d consider coming back.

Being inside The Gardens Mall made it easy to get to shops and restaurants. Guests can also get parking for RM5 per entry by having the ticket validated at the front desk. The hotel has a pool and a 24-hour gym, handy for both relaxing and working out. I stayed during the trial opening. The rooms felt brand new, with a clean, modern finish that was likely from recent renovations. The open-concept bathroom seemed better suited to couples, and each room had a bathtub. Complimentary snacks such as nuts, coffee and drinking water were provided. Free breakfast was included during the first week of opening as part of the trial. The F&B manager was attentive and made sure guests were looked after. The amenities and service were good, and the location was very convenient.

I came back for a leisure trip after staying here before the renovation. The rooms seem smaller than those at other five-star hotels I’ve stayed in, but the front office service was fluent and helpful. Sahil explained everything clearly, helped us arrange transport, and showed us around before check-in. I was happy with the service.

The free upgrade to the WAU room was appreciated. Everything was fine, and it’s a perfect spot for meeting up with locals or having a nearby meeting.
