TEEDO Hotel Kuala Lumpur

It’s a budget-friendly place with a really reasonable price, worth every penny. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was super clean, and the water pressure was good. There’s a smart TV in the room, so you can watch Netflix and other things. It’s right beside the LRT Plaza Rakyat Station, which makes getting around on foot really easy for backpackers. Do come stay here!

I asked for a higher floor facing the 118 tower, and the view was amazing. The room and toilet were clean. Mine didn’t have a fridge, though I don’t know if that’s true of the other rooms, and it was fine for me. I actually like hearing the trains go by and watching them, but if frequent train noise bothers you, this might not be the place for you. A nice stay for a budget hotel.

We picked this hotel because we had a running event at dataran dbkl, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. Booking direct on the website was cheaper than the other platforms. We paid a RM100 cash deposit, so make sure you have the money ready. We checked in late in the evening and were glad the air conditioning was already on, so the room felt cool right away. It was spacious and clean. There’s no refrigerator or iron in the room, but there is an ironing room. They provide the basics, including a toothbrush, shower cap, sanitary bag, shampoo and body bath. There’s also a powerbank kiosk where you can rent one for RM3/hour. We’d both forgotten our chargers, so that was handy. Food nearby was a bit hard to find, so we ate dinner at the hotel café. Parking was easy, and the hotel is in the same building as UTC. Stores like 7e, kkmart and speedmart are just across the street. To get there, go down to G floor and walk toward the escalator beside balai polis. The hotel is also near LRT plaza rakyat, so it’s easy to get around kl. Grab food delivery can be awkward because the lobby is on the 4th floor. You need to tell the driver to go through the multistorey parking to reach the level4 lobby. The only downside was the small towel size, almost like kids’ towels, but it was okay.
