The Nest KL Gateway

So many food and drink options across the board. The place is buzzing with fun and flavour.

KL Gateway Mall has a good range of food and drink places, but the car park was an awful experience. The moment I stepped out of my car, there was a powerful, pungent stench that really smelled like decomposing animal carcasses. It immediately changed my impression of the mall and made me wonder if I’d want to come back. I also saw security guards covering their noses with tissues while working. That makes it seem like this could be an ongoing problem for staff as well as visitors. It’s a shame, because the mall has potential, but the car park really affects the visit. I hope management investigates and fixes it soon.

When I was feeling depressed, sitting outside in the garden area helped me unwind. The atmosphere there is great, and the Bangsar South Residences community helps bring the place to life, even though the mall feels half dead.

The good parts are its connection to the LRT and the number of stores. Otherwise, there are problems everywhere. The parking system is still old while other malls have upgraded, and parking is damn expensive. It’s especially problematic around 6pm. Lifts and escalators ALWAYS have issues, and you can wait a long time for a lift. The guards are so noisy, blowing their whistles every single time. They seem stingy and unwilling to upgrade despite all the people who come here.
