The Robertson Bukit Bintang Luxe Suites

We spent the two nights putting up with the room because we had too much to do and too little time, but honestly we dreaded going back and even considered changing hotels. My friend had recommended this place after a good previous stay, and she was disappointed this time too. We booked separately when I came last month with a couple friend. They missed my reservation and contacted only my friend. Luckily we checked with each other, or I might have waited even longer for the room. The receptionist was somewhat friendly, though initially a little sarcastic before becoming nicer. They couldn't put us on the same floor because they only manage some units on different floors. I was on level 39 and expected a good view, but the elevators took forever. Sometimes they reached the lower floors already full, so people couldn't get in. Waiting for the lift also meant it took 30 minutes to get my towels changed. The room wasn't clean to my standards. My friend asked to change rooms because the sofa was stained and smelly, and the dining table felt sticky. The bed sagged visibly in the middle, and we could feel the springs; it was uncomfortable, and the pillows were low quality. Water flooded the bathroom whenever we used the shower or sink, which was inconvenient for us and the next person, and there was a bad sewage smell. No toothbrushes were provided. The towels were dirty, though they brought a replacement after a long wait, and the bathroom mat was badly discoloured and looked dirty. They supplied a tabletop iron, but the outlet was far from the dining table. Moving the table meant clearing our snacks, so we gave up and used the floor instead. There's no 24 hour service, so you're on your own if something happens in the middle of the night. The suite felt thrown together just to rent out, with no welcoming feel. I was initially pleased to have a room on the 39th floor because I was looking forward to the view, but the elevator made that less appealing.
