The Starion Hotel

The room wasn't cleaned during my four-night stay, even after I requested room service. When I came back at noon, it was still dirty, and the previous guest's prata bread was still in the table compartment. I also saw a cockroach. There was no soap, no coffee on the table, and no mineral water each day. They didn't replace the towels daily either, so I had to ask at the front desk. The woman there seemed unfriendly, and the man didn't care at all. The worst ever. This was my first and last stay, and I'll never come back. I stayed four nights. The room was only made up if I asked, and coffee and tea weren't refilled daily. There was no water boiler.

The taxi ride was the first shock. On my first trip to Malaysia, I arrived at 4:30 at midnight and met a man outside calling himself GV, a taxi driver. I asked him for a cheap hotel, and he recommended The Starion Hotel. After I paid for my room, he charged 1073 ringgits for the ride, saying I could pay 1070. It was nearly $250, and as a first-time visitor who knew no better, I paid. Later, after installing the GRAB app, I found the airport ride should cost under 70 ringgits. I then learned the driver and hotel manager were together in this scam. At the hotel, I paid 175 ringgits per night for four nights, 700 total, even though a counter poster showed a queen room for two at 130 per night. I was staying alone. The tall, dark-skinned manager also took a 50 ringgit security deposit that was supposed to be returned at checkout. He didn't record it, and I couldn't get it back. It was a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They'll take all your money.

The environment was really bad. When I entered the hotel that day, I found no water in the bathroom, no shower gel or shampoo, and no drinking water. I'll never come here again. Management, please take care of these things. 🤬🤬
