The Très Hotel

The lobby was my favorite part of our lovely one-night stay at Tres Hotel. Its colorful, charming vintage-inspired look made the atmosphere fun and vibrant, and a great place to relax and take photos. During check-in and checkout it was quite full, so I went down around 2-3am instead. It was quiet and empty then, which made it easier to enjoy the interior and take pictures peacefully. Breakfast at Peupue Cafe was satisfying, and the café staff were especially friendly and welcoming ⭐️ The room was comfortable and nicely designed. I understand the vintage mood, but brighter lights or dimmer controls would make it more practical, and some extra light above the dressing mirror would help. The toilet was fine and functional. Parking was a little limited in daytime, and we sometimes had to park farther away near the junction. At night it was easier to park closer to the hotel. There's also a nearby building with parking spaces, but clearer details from the hotel about availability and operating hours would help guests. I genuinely enjoyed the stay and the hotel's unique concept and atmosphere. I'd definitely come again.

The price made this stay feel worth it, even though the room had a few drawbacks. Ours faced the road and got pretty noisy at night. The king bed was actually two singles, which was fine with us, and the room's dark colors made it feel a little dated. The place is old, so I wasn't complaining about that. I booked at the last minute with low expectations, but the friendly, helpful staff made a great first impression. The interior is really pretty, especially the welcoming lounge and cafe.

The location is a little removed from KL's main sights, but Grab is easy to get and Mid-Valley mall is nearby for food and shopping. I liked the retro, Wes Anderson-inspired look, with lots of photogenic corners, and we had a pleasant stay too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cozy lounge had good coffee and pastries. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it had the basic amenities. It was quite dim, though, and there weren't many charging ports, so we had to unplug some night lights to charge our phones. A good short stay if you're into retro design.

Two nights went by too quickly. I left wishing I could have stayed longer, like a supporting character who needed more screen time. The staff were warm and helpful without hovering, and the cafe felt like the hotel's Grand Salon. The coffee was good, the pastries honest, and the food looked as if a set designer had plated it. We lingered longer than planned. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the same thoughtful theme as the rest of the hotel. Even the small amenities are cute and on-brand. It feels like your room is another scene in the film. The Très Hotel is tucked near Mid Valley, and every part of it keeps the story going. There are rotary phones and typewriters, stacked vintage suitcases, a photo booth, and lounge chairs in colors that somehow work together. The doors, corridors, and even the restrooms stay in character. It's très, in a word. Recommended without hesitation.
