OYO 880 Hotel Purple Town

For such an affordable stay, the rooms were quite clean, the aircon was cold, and the shower had good pressure. The mattresses are clean but on the hard side. There's also a shared dispenser for hot and cold water. It's a quaint little hotel, nicely decorated and well lit, on the edge of Sekinchan's town area. You get what you pay for, and it was quite good for a cheap stay.

The room was clean and had the equipment I needed, but the mattress was far too stiff and hard. Sleeping past 7am was impossible because of all the unpleasant noise. I guess the hotel has no soundproofing.

We booked at the last minute during a holiday. The receptionist is inside a salon, and for a three-star budget hotel I gave it five stars for value. Its location is strategic, with easy access to the padi fields and the fishing village across the highway. The room and facilities were just so-so, but fair for what you pay. Nothing to complain about.

We made a last-minute decision to spend a night in Sekinchan. The two queen beds were enough since all we needed was a place to sleep. The location is strategic, but dust on the walls and windows was hard to tolerate, and we were surprised to find a lizard in the bathroom. We won't return.
