Arena Boutique Hotel Kuala Terengganu

You can get around on foot from this hotel’s city centre location. PB Square, Pasar Payang, Masjid Abidin, and other important places are walkable, with marts, restaurants, banks, and a pharmacy all around. The staff were professional and helpful, and check-in and checkout were quick and hassle-free. The hotel occupies two buildings, and you can take either the elevator or stairs to your room. The room was clean, well equipped, and very comfortable, with a desk, water bottles, coffee, a water heater, tissues, TV channels, an iron and ironing board, and plenty of electric sockets, including some right by the bed. The bed and pillows were especially clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, with a hairdryer, shampoo, body wash, clean towels, toilet paper, and a shower water heater that worked well. There’s cold AC and a nice ceiling fan too. A prayer mat and kiblat direction sticker were provided, and there was a Coway dispenser on the ground floor. Clean, quiet, and high quality in my opinion, and definitely worth the price.

The room was so noisy that I could clearly hear sounds from outside and other rooms, and it was almost impossible to rest. Parking was poorly managed and frustrating. For these prices, that level of parking service is unacceptable. The service was terrible from start to finish. Customer service was rude, unprofessional, and seemed uninterested in helping; the staff clearly didn’t care about guests. I also felt misled about the stay length. The booking said checkout at 12:00 AM, but we were only allowed to stay for less than 24 hours. The price felt like a complete rip-off, especially with that restriction. This was a total disappointment, poorly managed and not worth the money. I regret staying here and would strongly warn others to avoid it.

Having lots of places within walking distance made the location great, and the service was good. After a long drive, I was glad to get a room upgrade. But there were dusty areas and a few small roaches, so it seemed the room might not have been used or cleaned for a while. The stay was okay overall.

I forgot to take photos, but the room was really nice and minimalist. It had no wardrobe, though there was a place to hang clothes, and an iron was provided. The bathroom was super spacious. We also got lucky at check-in: our room had two queen beds instead of one queen and one single.
