Batu Burok Beach Resort

The beach view was lovely, and having places to eat within walking distance was really convenient. The room itself was a letdown, though. I arrived late and tired, and the air conditioner had no battery and wouldn’t work at first. There was a musty smell too. The bathroom door was the biggest concern. It wouldn’t lock properly, and once shut it was so hard to open that I had to wedge a chair against it. Someone could get stuck inside, so management should treat this as a safety issue and fix it soon, even if the room is old. The iron was provided, but it was completely black. A new one shouldn’t cost much, and guests commonly need one.

5/10/25. I was really disappointed with both my room and my family’s room. The sheets were stained, and both my children cried in the room much of the time. Are you sure this place should still be called a resort? Please don’t book this hotel.

Maybe I expected too much, but the room was pretty unpleasant. The lock didn’t work at all, and there was mold in the toilet. The sheets and sheer curtains were stained, the pillows had turned yellow, and the lights were dim. The room also smelled bad. It was seriously disgusting.

The beach was one of the best parts of my stay at DSH Batu Burok Beach Resort. I could go straight to Batu Burok Beach for a relaxing walk, listen to the waves, and watch the sunset. The ocean views and peaceful setting were lovely, and there were good dining choices with local and international food. My room was clean, spacious, and well kept, with what I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were warm and helpful whenever I needed anything. It was an incredible visit, and I’d happily come back. If you want comfort, friendly service, and a setting close to nature, I’d recommend it.
