The air con cooled the spacious room quickly, and the staff and cleaners were friendly enough. But there was a clear lack of attention to detail and hygiene. The linens had random small stains, the floor tiles were dirty, the TV quality was terrible, and the old sofa looked filthy. I could feel the lack of cleanliness as soon as I walked in. I stayed only because it was CNY and I didn't want to disrupt my family's holiday with a last minute move, but I'm very concerned about my kids' hygiene. The worst part happened on the 5th floor, where I found a large live insect crawling on the headboard inches from my pillow. I have video evidence. I'm a parent traveling with a toddler, so I was disgusted. When I handed the bug to the concierge, he acted as if it was nothing and even asked whether I'd "only spotted one." That lack of empathy and professional standards was shocking. It felt like they didn't care about guest health or safety. I'm never coming back. If you care about your health and want a clean place for your children, stay far away.

My latest visit, my third stay at E-Red Hotel Kuantan, was disappointing. On 24/1/2026, I was assigned a room on the eighth floor that wasn't well maintained. There were visible stains on the wall and bed, and several spots were dusty. My skin felt itchy while I was there, which affected my comfort. I hope management pays more attention to cleanliness and maintenance, especially for returning guests who've had good experiences before. On my first business trip stay, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable enough to rest well after a long day. It felt worth the money. The only downside then was having no café or restaurant on-site for breakfast or other meals, which would've been convenient for business travelers. That first stay was pleasant overall.

The deluxe twin room was spacious, with a nice glass study table and a good-sized toilet. There was plenty of parking, so no worries there. I was satisfied with the room and service, and would come back. Thanks, E-Red.

The location was great and there was lots of parking. The room was big, comfortable, and a good fit for our family of four.
