We paid around RM80 for a room without a window, so that’s the context for this review. The bed itself was quite clean, and restaurants are fairly close. Check-in was at the hotel next door, which was fine for the two of us, though it might be difficult for big families with elderly people. The receptionist was friendly and attentive and explained how to get into the room. The room left a lot to be desired. It was dusty, with spots on the walls and floor. There was little ventilation, and the air had a strange smell that might have come from the air conditioner. The sink leaked whenever the tap was turned on, so be prepared for a wet floor.

After work, I checked in at midnight and was sent on a long walk to another hotel for the check-in process. I was surprised there hadn’t been any mention that I needed to use the other hotel’s lobby. My first room, on the second floor, had a heater that didn’t work. I had to walk back to the other hotel for help, then go there again to ask for a towel because the replacement room had none. A really bad experience.

The price is low, which fits with the limited facilities, but the hygiene problems still make the value disappointing. The pillows and blankets felt usang and smelled unpleasant. There are reserved parking spaces, but they cost extra each day. Check-in was inconvenient too, with no staff in the lounge, so I had to walk behind the building to a sister hotel.

We’ve been regular customers at season view hotel whenever my parents come to kuantan, and our previous stays there were amazing. This time, though, was the worst experience for my family and me. Room 381 was horrible. The air conditioning was aimed at the TV instead of the bed, and even at level 16 with the fan on full blast, it was hot enough that I had to use my own small fan. The room was also too small for two queen beds. As a Muslim, I had very limited space to pray, which made it not Muslim friendly. I hadn’t had a problem with this hotel or season view hotel before 🥺💔

I couldn’t sleep comfortably because the room stayed unbearably hot. The air conditioner was incredibly slow and couldn’t cool the whole room, even on its highest setting.
